Complete Framing Solutions is looking for a Bandsaw Operator to join our team in our structural steel fabrication shop.

This position is responsible for operating the structural bandsaw and cutting beams, channel, angle, HSS, and flat materials according to the cut list. You will work under overhead cranes to safely handle, organize, tag, and stage materials, ensuring they are properly prepared and available for the welding and fitting stations.

Tasks

- Set up and operate a structural bandsaw (horizontal dual-miter style) from shop cut lists and drawings
- Measure, mark, and cut members square and to length
- Read basic shop drawings, piece marks, and material grades
- Stage cut parts by assembly, keep heat numbers and tags with the material
- Use overhead crane, plate clamps, slings, and forklift to load the saw and move bundles
- Change blades, check coolant, and flag wear or damage
- Keep the saw area clean and follow shop safety rules

Required Qualifications

- Experience cutting structural steel on a bandsaw, including beams, channel, angle, HSS, and plate
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure, use a square, and follow a cut list




- Experience operating overhead cranes and performing proper rigging
- Experience operating a forklift
- Comfortable working in a fabrication shop environment around welding and fitting operations
- CSA-approved safety boots

Preferred Qualifications

- Current overhead crane and rigging certification
- Current forklift certification
- Previous experience in a structural steel or fabrication shop
- Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints

Additional Information

- Selected candidates will complete an on-site practical assessment, including measuring and cutting material from a sample cut list.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
