About Verdyn

Verdyn is a Canadian power infrastructure solutions company that designs, manufactures, and delivers advanced electrical systems for demanding environments where grid capacity, power quality, and system response are mission-critical.

Built around advanced power electronics, control software, and modelling-first engineering, Verdyn delivers turnkey solutions from grid connection to load — combining Canadian manufacturing and testing, system integration, commissioning, and long-term support. Our work spans utility, industrial, data centre, energy storage, and EV charging applications. At Verdyn, we don't just offer jobs — we build careers.

About the Role

As we scale production of our Made-in-North-America power systems, we're looking for a Supply Chain Manager to own the end-to-end flow of material into our Oakville plant — sourcing, purchasing, planning, and inventory — so production always has the right parts, at the right quality, at the right time, without tying up cash we don't need to.

On a small, growing team you own the whole function. You'll build the supplier base, the processes, and the reporting that let the operation scale, and you'll hold it to the standard expected of a leading energy-equipment manufacturer.

Role Overview

You'll own sourcing, purchasing, materials planning, inventory, and inbound logistics for electrical and mechanical components; drive supplier delivery and quality performance; and stand up the procurement processes, systems discipline, and KPIs that support a growing production operation.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Supplier Management

- Build and manage a resilient North American supplier base, qualifying suppliers on quality, technical capability, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Drive supplier delivery to on-time-in-full,

and surface and resolve delivery risks before they reach the line.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and lead times, and manage the contract lifecycle.
- Own incoming quality with suppliers — traceability, certifications, and non-conformance resolution — in partnership with Quality.

Planning, Inventory & Logistics

- Run materials planning against the production schedule, managing inventory turns, buffers, and excess and obsolescence.
- Manage inbound logistics, lead times, and supply risk, including long-lead and single-source parts.
- Balance material availability against working capital.

Systems, Process & Cross-Functional

- Manage material flow and purchasing in our custom internal ERP, track priorities and actions on Kanban, and keep sourcing records in Microsoft 365.
- Partner with engineering on component selection and BOM management, and with production on schedule and priorities.
- Stand up scalable procurement processes, controls, and reporting as we grow.

The numbers you'll own: supplier on-time delivery, OTIF, inventory turns, material availability, working capital, and excess/obsolescence reduction.

Qualifications Required

- 3+ years in supply chain, procurement, or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
- A track record of improving supplier performance and delivering measurable results in delivery, cost, and inventory.
- Strength in supplier qualification, quality and traceability, and negotiation.

- Comfort with BOM-driven, ERP/MRP-based purchasing, and the ability to work in a custom internal ERP and Microsoft 365.
- An end-to-end mindset — you use data to decide and you challenge processes to make them better.
- Strong self-management and the ability to work independently to timelines.

Preferred

- Experience standing up or scaling procurement and materials processes in a growing manufacturer.
- Experience sourcing electrical and electronic components (semiconductors, magnetics, power modules) and managing allocation and shortage risk.
- Familiarity with incoming-quality and traceability requirements for regulated or high-reliability products.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- APICS/CPIM, CSCP, or similar certification.
- Experience in a high-reliability manufacturing environment (energy, industrial, automotive, aerospace).

What We Offer

- A high-impact, high-ownership role building the supply chain function at a fast-growing Canadian power-infrastructure company.
- The chance to shape the supplier base and processes from the ground up, not inherit a finished playbook.
- A collaborative, multidisciplinary team and hands-on involvement from sourcing through production.
- A competitive compensation and perks package.
