Position: Sushi Chef

Vacancy: One (1)

Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent

Compensation: $22 per hour

Working hours: 30 - 40 hours per week

Benefits: 4% vacation pay / Free meals at work

Job Duties

Prepare and complete Japanese foods such as sushi rolls, maki rolls, tempura, bento, etc.

Plan and create new menus and various sauces

Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food

Cook various deep-fried seafood and vegetable tempura and treat deep fry oils safely and dispose used oil in proper manner

Be responsible for reflecting customers feedback

Keep track of food expenditures, consumption, transactions, and stock levels.

Analyze operational expenses and additional information.

Ensure quality of food and determine size of food portions and estimate food requirements, costs

Recruit, train and supervise cooks,



kitchen helpers with respect to food preparation

Requirements

Completion of secondary school

Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook in a commercial restaurant (or) Completion of apprenticeship program for cooks (or) Completion of college or other program in cooking is required
