Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part time Sushi Chef/Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic sushi dishes and supporting overall kitchen operations. Your expertise will ensure that every plate served meets our high standards of quality, presentation, and food safety.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble sushi and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and artistry, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen workspace to ensure a safe, efficient environment
- Handle food preparation tasks including slicing fish, preparing rice, and assembling ingredients for various menu items
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Assist in cooking other menu items as needed to support the overall restaurant operations




- Serve guests promptly while providing friendly and attentive customer service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen flow during busy periods

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, food handling, and safety standards
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on delivering top-tier customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for meal preparation and sanitation
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and support a positive work environment
- Prior restaurant experience is required; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
