Community Links operates within a community development framework; partnering with community and service providers to address local needs and strengthen well-being. Community Links provides services to all residents in Airdrie, Beiseker, Crossfield, Irricana, and surrounding areas of North Rocky View County. The main office located in Airdrie, with satellite offices in other communities.
The Systems Navigator will identify, coordinate and facilitate support and resources to meet the needs of community members facing housing insecurity. This position will engage community and governments partners to build strong working relationships and to identify and address systems gaps. A significant part of this role will be collecting data to support future development for housing initiatives and programs, as they fall within our mandate.
Program Planning and Management
Provide effective, trauma-informed case management services including assessment, goal setting, intervention, and termination.
Deliver services across North Rocky View County.
Plan, implement, facilitate and evaluate public presentations as required.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential community member records and case notes.
Collaborate with community partners and refer community members to appropriate services as needed.
Build housing specific collaborations in Rocky View County and surrounding areas.
Host collaborative table to build partnerships and to collaboratively support community members as required.
Advocate for program participants to support self-advocacy.
Participate in team meetings, supervision, case consultations,
and professional development.
Contribute to program evaluation, data collection, and reporting.
Adhere to Provincial Legislation and agency policies and procedures.
Participate in special projects, community events, and fundraising initiatives as required.
Ensure that all programs focus on the needs of the community members. This includes referring individuals to other services and programs when appropriate, collaborating with other professionals and advocating for other services on behalf of the community members.
Education, Skill Set and Abilities
Minimum of Diploma in Human Services field- degree preferred
Membership with appropriate qualified body based on education.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with vulnerable community members.
Knowledge and experience working with those impacted by housing insecurity
Trauma informed.
Capable of moving/lifting program equipment, resources.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Ability to create a positive impression in a professional and respectful manner.
Enjoy interaction with people and is non-judgmental.
Ability to work flexible hours (including days, evenings, and some weekends).
Experience working in an inclusive, culturally diverse,
and multi-disciplinary team setting an asset.
Competent in or willing to gain knowledge of resources, community, and social issues.
Willing to accept a variety of job-related tasks.
Positive attitude with commitment to providing quality service is essential.

Use effective stress management skills.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, including prioritizing and setting goals.

Must have or be able to attain a Criminal Record check (Vulnerable Sector).
Must have or be willing to attain a CS Child and Youth Intervention check.
Standard First Aid, Level C, CPR/AED, and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).
May involve work with children, youth and adults considered to be very high risk including those with criminal tendencies, potential violence and aggression, mental health issues (such as depression and suicidal tendencies), physical/sexual/emotional abuse and/or neglect, and substance abuse.
Driving to rural locations, in all weather and road conditions. Current driver’s license with adequately insured reliable transportation required.
Required to stand or sit for extended periods of time during performance of duties.
Pay: $25.50-$26.25 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 per week
