Good Life Brands (Field House Brewing Co & Nice Life Cocktails) is looking for our next Tasting Room Lead at our Abbotsford location!

Accountable for Operations:

- Executing the hospitality experience at Field House Brewing to the highest standard, including great guest experiences, food and drink quality, service times, vibe, cleanliness, and food handling and safety across the entire operation.
- Maintaining the physical space of the tasting room, ensuring cleanliness standards are upheld, and completing necessary repairs and maintenance upkeep in a timely fashion.
- Organizing and tracking inventory and invoices, including monthly inventories, WISK input, and supplier ordering to maintain consistent availability of packaged product and draft beer across all service periods.
- Supporting and maintaining location tools and systems, including WiFi, debit/credit, POS (Toast), and WISK recipe and integration management.
- Ensuring and overseeing ongoing and month-end WISK procedures for the tasting room, along with completing other procedures as directed by Finance.
- Maintaining and updating operational systems and SOPs for Field House Brewing.
- Managing handovers and Basecamp to-dos to ensure clear communication and consistent follow-through across the team.
- Identifying operational issues and ensuring they are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

Accountable for People:

- Managing tasting room scheduling, including timesheets, time off, and staffing levels, built against forecast sales and labour targets.
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new Crew, along with onboarding and orientation through Basecamp, Sling, Health and Safety, and basic tasting room procedures.
- Implementing and maintaining training programs, checklists, and standard procedures to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality tasting room functionality during both busy and slow periods.
- Delegating tasks and following up with the team to ensure operational standards and expectations are consistently met.




- Continuing to train and develop Tasting Room Shift Leads and Crew, helping build a knowledgeable, capable, and collaborative team.
- Fostering positive, professional communication through Basecamp, meetings, memos, and in-the-moment feedback.
- Providing coaching, feedback, and direction to the team in a supportive yet firm manner.
- Leading by example by working hard, noticing the details, and holding yourself and the team accountable to high standards.
- Ensuring the team stays current on operational updates and follows expectations around dress code, crew beer allowances, and general code of conduct.
- Taking ownership of your own actions and setting the standard for punctuality, professionalism, and exceptional hospitality.

Accountable for Profit:

- Driving tasting room revenue to achieve growth targets through strong floor presence, upselling, and delivering a consistently exceptional guest experience.
- Supporting the profitability of Field House Brewing through labour-driven scheduling, COGS management, and par-level inventory controls.
- Managing cash and tips, including fixing errors, balancing floats, and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Managing petty cash and completing bank runs and deposits as required.
- Communicating and ordering needs regarding beverages, dry goods, supplies, and maintenance to ensure cost-effective and consistent operations.
- Monitoring inventory and operational needs to support product availability while minimizing waste and unnecessary costs.
- Working with the team to identify opportunities to improve sales, efficiency, and overall tasting room profitability.

- Comfortable managing a busy tasting room environment while maintaining high standards during both busy and slow periods.
- Confident coaching, training, and developing a team through positive, professional communication.
- Someone who leads by example, takes ownership, and holds themselves and others accountable.
- Comfortable working with POS, inventory, scheduling, and other operational systems.
- Financially minded, with an understanding of labour, COGS, inventory controls, and the importance of profitable operations.
- Adaptable and able to work a rotating schedule, including a balanced mix of days, evenings, and weekends.
- Passionate about craft beer, great hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Someone who cares deeply about their team, their work, and the community they’re part of.

Schedule & Location:

- Full time, 5 days per week.
- Based onsite at our Abbotsford tasting room.
- A balanced mix of days, evenings, and weekend shifts.
- Approximately half a day of administration and four and a half days on the floor with the team.
- Tentative set schedule, with flexibility required based on the needs of the business.
