We are looking for a motivated Technical Installer to join our team at SPT Solar Shading Solutions. In this role, you will be installing multiple systems and types of window coverings and act as an onsite expert to provide solutions where construction is not straight forward. The Technical Installer will be expected to install our SPT products in and around the greater Toronto area at multiple project locations from residential high rises to massive corporate buildings.
Responsibilities
- Installation of various types of window covering systems, including both motorized and manual.
- Taking and documenting of site measurements.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints on architectural drawings.
- Heavy use of hand and power tools.
- Using company owned vehicle to deliver materials to sites.
- Ensuring safe delivery and handling of all material.
- Ensure adherence of best installation practices and quality standards.
- Complete paperwork and documents as required.
- Assist project manager in fulfilling onsite responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid full G Driver’s license.
- Ability to work at heights is a must.
- Experience working in manual labour, construction, or with hands.
- Numerically Literate, must be able to do work involving utilization of Fractions, addition, subtraction, and measurements.
- Skilled with basic hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with scissor lift and scaffolding.
- Understanding how to read blueprints and architectural drawings.
- Working at Heights certification/fall arrest protection.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $41,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
