Experienced operator? Great. New to towing but mechanically inclined, reliable and willing to learn? We want to hear from you too.

Choose What Fits You

Primary / Full-Time On-Call For someone with open, flexible availability who wants to be a primary operator. Full-time hours are not guaranteed and depend on call volume, but you'll be one of the first operators relied on when the phone rings.

Part-Time On-Call Perfect for someone with another job, other commitments, or someone semi-retired looking to pick up additional hours.

Casual On-Call Get properly trained, then help cover vacations, sick days, busy periods, large recoveries and additional calls when extra hands are needed.

What You'll Do

You'll handle a variety of towing and roadside calls throughout the Elk Valley, including:

- Vehicle towing using decks and wreckers
- Police-requested towing and impounds
- Accident and vehicle recovery
- Boosts, tire changes and vehicle unlocks
- Working safely along highways and active traffic
- Communicating with customers, dispatch, police and emergency services
- Shop or yard work when available

Sparwood Towing holds the local police towing contract, so when you've committed to being available, reliability and professional response times matter. More Than Just Moving Cars A customer-service mindset is a must.

People usually aren't calling a tow truck on their best day. They may be stranded on the highway, facing an expensive breakdown, dealing with terrible weather or standing beside a vehicle that's just been involved in a collision.





We're looking for someone who can safely get the job done while also being the calm, helpful person who makes a bad day a little easier.

What You Need

Class 5 driver's licence with Air Brake Endorsement Safe driving habits and good common sense Reliability — if you say you're available, we need to be able to count on you

Ability to work outdoors and around traffic in changing weather

Physical ability to perform roadside and recovery work

Strong customer-service skills

Ability to drive manual transmission or willingness to learn

Towing/recovery experience and higher licence classes are assets. We also operate tandem decks requiring a minimum Class 3 licence.

No Air Brakes Yet? Don't automatically count yourself out. If you have a Class 5, a solid work ethic and genuinely want to learn, we're willing to consider the right person. Initial training may be available at a non-operator training rate while you obtain your Air Brake Endorsement within an agreed timeframe.

Pay Operator wage starts at $27/hour, with higher wages negotiable based on towing/recovery experience, qualifications and licence class. Hours depend on call volume and availability and are not guaranteed. Additional shop, yard or operational hours may also be available.
