Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after trips, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and freight manifests
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly




- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling to prevent accidents or damage

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Ability to handle freight securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment operation skills
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical stamina to load/unload cargo, stand for extended periods, and perform vehicle inspections
