Senior Travel Designer – Luxury Travel Toronto, ON | In Office | Competitive salary + Benefits & Profit Sharing Our client, an established luxury travel agency in Toronto, is looking for an experienced Senior Travel Designer to join their team. This position is becoming available due to a long-standing employee’s upcoming retirement. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned travel professional who enjoys building high-end itineraries and providing highly personalized service to discerning, high-net-worth clients.
The successful candidate will be a confident advisor who can make thoughtful recommendations, manage complex arrangements and take ownership of each trip from initial consultation through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Design customized luxury vacations to Europe, the Caribbean and other sun destinations
- Consult with clients and recommend destinations, hotels, experiences and routing based on their individual preferences
- Manage complex travel arrangements from beginning to end
- Book and coordinate air, accommodations, transfers and other travel services
- Provide knowledgeable, polished service to an established luxury clientele
- Assist with air reservations and act as a backup for ticketing when required
- Monitor client emails outside regular business hours and assist with urgent situations when necessary; emergencies are infrequent
- Build lasting client relationships through attentive and highly personalized service Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working within a luxury travel agency; 10 years or more is preferred
- Strong knowledge of luxury travel throughout Europe, the Caribbean and other sun destinations
- Air reservation and ticketing experience
- Experience with Apollo/Travelport is a strong asset
- Confident, articulate and comfortable advising affluent, well-travelled clients
- Consultative approach with the ability to develop creative, customized travel recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex itineraries independently
- Must live in Toronto and be able to commute reliably to the office five days per week Position Details:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Fully in-office position; work from home is not available
