The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Truss Builder to join our team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and accurate assembly of all components of roof and floor trusses, along with providing assistance as needed to all areas of the shop.

Duties Include:

- Read and interpret specifications from shop drawings or order forms.
- Prepare materials required for project, includes lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling materials weighting up to 50 lb.
- Use necessary hand and power tools to assemble trusses.
- Assist with the movement of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
- Complete daily stock inventory reports and material requisition forms.
- Operate forklift and unload raw materials from deliveries (if forklift licensed).

What We're Looking For:

- Industrial woodworking or other woodworking experience an asset.
- Forklift certification an asset.
- Punctual, dedicated, hardworking and very detail-oriented.
- Shift flexibility and willingness to work overtime depending on season, workload, etc.
- Able to read and interpret truss shop drawings.
- Competency with building tools and materials.
- Ability to work co-operatively in a team atmosphere.

Reliable transportation is essential as Brighton Truss is not on a bus route.
