About the Role

We're looking for a dependable Delivery Driver / Warehouse Assistant to keep our job sites supplied and our warehouse running smoothly. You'll split your time between the road and the warehouse: delivering materials, tools, and equipment to our job sites, and keeping our inventory organized, stocked, and safe. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes staying busy, takes pride in doing the job right, and works well on their own.

Responsibilities

Delivery

- Safely drive company vehicles to deliver construction materials, tools, and equipment to job sites on schedule
- Pick up returns, rentals, and supplier orders
- Plan daily routes based on site needs and project schedules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (circle checks) and report any problems
- Load, secure, and unload deliveries safely to prevent damage
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, signed paperwork, mileage, and fuel
- Communicate with site supervisors, suppliers, and the office about delivery times, delays, or issues

Warehouse

- Receive incoming materials and check them against packing slips and purchase orders
- Load, unload, and move materials by hand or with equipment such as a pallet jack or forklift
- Pick, stage, and prepare material orders for job sites




- Track tools and equipment going out to and coming back from sites
- Help with inventory counts, sorting, and weighing
- Keep the warehouse and yard clean, organized, and secure
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

- Valid Manitoba Class 3 driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract CSA-approved safety boots
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and handle physical work, including standing, bending, and climbing in and out of vehicles
- Comfortable working outdoors and on active construction sites in all weather conditions
- Reliable and on time, able to work alone or as part of a team
- Valuable communication skills and able to fill out basic paperwork
- Basic smartphone skills

Nice to Have

- Forklift experience
- Experience towing trailers and securing loads
- Air brake endorsement
- WHMIS training
- Previous delivery, shipping and receiving, or warehouse experience
- Construction or agricultural site experience
- First Aid/CPR
- High school diploma or equivalent
