The Leadhand in our Warehouse Department will be responsible for assisting and coordinating with Supervisor to always foresee and monitor all production crew activities and tasks during work shift. The successful candidate will oversee our 3 x 12 weekend shift
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Mentoring and acting as a role model for crew members while working alongside them on production floor
- Prepare work by liaising with management, reviewing the scope and process documentation, reviewing drawings, specifications and parts lists, coordinating parts, subassemblies, tools and materials as necessary
- Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; set processing variables; observer control point and equipment; monitor personnel and resources
- Monitor and schedule jobs: assist management in planning and ensuring efficiency of production
- Document actions and complete safety, quality and production forms
- Remain calm and skilled at all times regardless of pressure or provocation
- Train or assist in training to operate and maintain equipment and tools (storing, cleaning, repairing and sharpening) and assist in hiring
- Involvement in any HR issues that may arise and any instances of disciplinary actions needing to be documented and attend operations meetings to resolve problems that arise for team members
- Coordinating picking / kitting with multiple team members and delivery of kits to production across multiple departments and production lines
- Perform WIP Job Issuing entries as required
- Perform Cycle Counts and Physical and Adjustment entries
- Creating bin locations for new inventory and reorganizing current bin locations when necessary; performs bin location updates
- Provide support for other warehouse staff
- Inventory support for applicable departments
- Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.
- Requisitioning of goods
- Maintains the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse / parts and material storage areas
Qualifications:
- Clear understanding of TAKT schedule
- Demonstrates knowledge of position
- Excellent time management skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workmanship
- Ability to lead a team effectively and provide guidance as needed
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional manner
- Familiarity with power tools used in painting projects
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
