Lead Indigenous academic programming at Mohawk College as the Manager, Indigenous Academics and Research. This full time role emphasizes project management, relationship building, and collaboration with Indigenous communities.
In this significant role reporting to the Director of the Centre for Indigenous Relations, Knowledge, and Learning, you will provide oversight of initiatives pushing Indigenous research and curriculum forward. You will collaborate with faculty and researchers to implement projects ensuring compliance with Indigenous research principles and facilitate Indigenous perspectives in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee implementation of Indigenous academic initiatives
- Develop and evaluate Indigenous programs collaboratively
- Manage relationships with Indigenous communities and partners
- Track project outcomes and financial activities
- Ensure academic quality and compliance with policies
Requirements:
- Three-year degree in Indigenous Education or related field
- Five years of related experience
- Deep understanding of Indigenous culture and community needs
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Effective communication with diverse communities
