At Good Shepherd, we are seeking two Mental Health Crisis Workers for varied schedules. This role emphasizes crisis intervention, risk assessment, and patient advocacy to help individuals facing mental health challenges. A commitment to anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices is essential for fostering an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk and suicide assessments for clients
- Provide crisis counseling and symptom stabilization
- Develop care plans and conduct crisis interventions
- Collaborate with community service providers for effective referrals
- Engage in continuous monitoring and evaluation of client support
Requirements:
- Degree in social work, nursing, or related fields
- 5 years’ experience in mental health and addictions
- Previous crisis work experience is preferred
- Fluency in a second language is an asset
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
