Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8-hour shifts

About the Role As a Warehouse labourer, you’ll be an significant part of our day-to-day operations. You’ll help keep our warehouse organized and running efficiently while supporting deliveries, customer pickups, showroom needs, construction projects, and service work.
You’ll work closely with our warehouse, builder services, showroom, and service teams under the direction of the department manager.
This is a hands-on position that is well suited to someone who is reliable, organized, comfortable working physically, and enjoys learning new skills.
Career Growth – Warehouse to Field Service Technician
This position is designed to provide an opportunity to grow within Chateau Lighting.
You’ll start by learning our warehouse operations, products, delivery processes, and day-to-day service requirements. As you gain experience and demonstrate reliability, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, there will be an opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and progress toward a Field Service Technician position.
The Field Service Technician role involves working in the field on tasks such as:
- Lighting fixture installations
- Troubleshooting and repairs
- Warranty and service calls
- Fixture replacements and adjustments
- Job-site service and support
- Working with hand and power tools
- Diagnosing and resolving installation issues
You don’t need to already be a technician. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude and work ethic who wants to learn and develop their skills. Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments
- Pick and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Load and unload products safely
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks
- Properly handle and store lighting fixtures and other products
- Assist with general warehouse maintenance and organization
Delivery Services
- Deliver lighting and other products to job sites, contractors, and customer homes
- Ensure products are delivered safely and professionally
- Load and secure products for transportation
- Assist with customer pickups and deliveries
- Keep company delivery vehicles clean and well-maintained
- Complete delivery paperwork and other documentation as required
Installation & Service Support
- Assist with showroom installations and fixture installations
- Assist the service team with field service calls when required
- Help with fixture replacements, repairs, and warranty work
- Learn proper handling and installation practices for various lighting products
- Assist with job-site troubleshooting and service tasks
- Develop knowledge and skills required to progress toward a Field Service Technician role
General Duties
- Follow company safety procedures and best practices
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Work effectively with the warehouse, sales, showroom, builder services, and service teams
- Provide professional service to customers, contractors, and job-site personnel
- Complete other tasks that support warehouse and business operations as assigned by the department manager
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of experience in warehouse, delivery, logistics, construction, or a similar hands-on role
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean 3-year driver's abstract
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights, including ladders and lifts up to approximately 14 ft
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools is an asset
- Previous installation, construction, electrical, or service experience is an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset, but not required
