We are seeking a compassionate and dependable retired Registered Nurse (RN) to join our established private home-care team supporting an elderly couple in their home in Dorchester, Ontario.

This position would be an excellent fit for a retired nurse who would like to continue working in a meaningful care environment without returning to a traditional nursing role. You will work alongside an established team of Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide hands-on personal care, companionship, supervision, and assistance with daily routines.

Our goal is to provide consistent, respectful, and high-quality care that allows both individuals to remain comfortable and safely supported in their own home.

Responsibilities

- Assist with activities of daily living and personal care
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance as required
- Assist with toileting, continence care, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
- Assist with meals and feeding as required
- Observe and report changes in condition, behaviour, mobility, or overall well-being
- Follow established care plans, routines, and household protocols
- Communicate effectively with the home-care team and family
- Provide companionship and reassurance
- Assist with light household tasks related to client care
- Work collaboratively with PSWs and other healthcare professionals involved in the clients' care

Qualifications





- Retired RN with previous nursing experience
- Comfortable providing hands-on personal and continence care
- Knowledge of safe transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
- Robust communication and observational skills
- Comfortable working independently in a private home environment

Because this is a private home-care environment, consistency and familiarity are extremely important. We are looking for someone interested in becoming a trusted and reliable member of a small, established care team.

Please note: This is a home-care support position and is not intended to be a traditional RN nursing role. The successful candidate's nursing experience and clinical knowledge will be highly valued; however, day-to-day responsibilities will primarily involve personal care, supervision, mobility assistance, companionship, and support with daily living.

Schedule

Part-time and casual shifts are available. Specific availability and scheduling can be discussed during the interview process.

Pay: $26.00 per hour
