About Us

Red Dot Restoration specializes in 24/7 emergency repair for properties damaged by fire, smoke, water, and other perils. We are looking for a hardworking, customer-focused Emergency Water Technician to join our team.

The Position

As a Water Technician, you will respond to property emergencies to perform water extraction, targeted demolition, and structural drying. This physically demanding role requires heavy lifting in challenging environments (including mould and sewage), a customer-focused attitude, and availability for mandatory on-call and overtime shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Emergency Response: Respond to water losses, Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
- Site Prep & Safety: Conduct site surveys and hazard assessments. Obtain signed work authorizations and secure client keys.
- Mitigation & Demolition: Extract water, remove damaged building materials (drywall, flooring, cabinets).
- Drying & Equipment: Set up commercial drying equipment. Clean, maintain, and safely tag out gear as needed.
- Documentation: Track job progress with accurate moisture/psychrometric readings, detailed records, lab samples, and photos.




- Teamwork/Leadership: Follow all IICRC guidelines and company policies while providing guidance to Junior Technicians.

Qualifications

- IICRC certification an asset
- Minimum of 3 year's experience as an emergency water technician.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform demanding manual labour.
- Environment: Comfortable working in challenging conditions (hot, cold, wet, dusty) where dirt, sewage, and mould may be present.
- Hours: Available Monday to Friday, plus mandatory on-call shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime as required by business needs.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $24.00-$35.00 per hour
