Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).Additional Required QualificationsCPR Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS - HCP). Minimum of two years of recent dental assistant experience. Experience in triaging, assessing, and advising clients who present with varied and often complex issues and/or problems. Demonstration of excellent assessment, critical-thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and patient care skills. Self-direction, adaptability and flexibility required while working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, and pulling weights up to fifty pounds to transfer or transport patients and equipment. Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.Preferred QualificationsRecent experience Intravenous sedation. National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) certification. Cross-cultural competence and experience working with complex, vulnerable populations. Experience in operative services.
