Elevate the patron experience as a Part-Time Public Services Librarian at London’s Beacock Branch. Work in office to provide user-focused library services and support community engagement initiatives.
As a Public Services Librarian, you’ll play a vital role in delivering the London Public Library's User First services. This permanent part-time position emphasizes excellent proactive customer service, ensuring patrons' information needs are met across Literacy, Knowledge, Well-Being, and Community Building. You’ll engage with the public through programming, collections management, and technology support while acting as a point of contact for patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create exceptional experiences for patrons seeking information • Plan and deliver programs both in-library and within the community • Maintain collections and support lending services operations • Assist patrons with digital resources and technology • Build relationships with community partners
Requirements: • Master of Library and Information Science or equivalent • 6-12 months in a librarian or customer service role • Excellent communication skills for presentations • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities • Weekend and evening availability is essential
