Senior Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear, Mississauga EOIDate: May 19, 2026Company: HatchRequisition ID: 99679Job Category: EnergyResponsibilitiesPrepare engineering work packages ensuring budgets and schedules are metDefine mechanical project requirements as they are related to scope, cost and scheduleDevelop and/or review mechanical deliverables such as design requirements, design criteria, engineering calculations and systems analysis, technical specifications, design criteria, datasheets, layouts, and morePrepare design completion assurance certificates, analysis statements and engineering reports for registration and fitness of service assessmentsSupport classification of nuclear and non-nuclear code boundariesSeal documentation required with regulatory bodies for registration of systems such as Canadian Registration Numbers (CRN)Assist with technical queries raised during construction and commissioning of projectsWillingness to mentor junior and intermediate staffInterface with other engineering disciplines including participation in design reviewsParticipate in HAZOP, COMS and other safety related reviews as requiredActively manage relationships with clients and vendorsProvide input to engineering, operating and capital cost estimatesQualifications & ExperienceB.Sc./B.Eng in mechanical engineeringRegistration as a skilled engineer in Ontario, or eligible to obtainValid security clearance for Canada,
