Canada , delivering tailored solutions and market-ready ingredients to the Life Sciences and Personal Care markets. They are looking for a Payroll Associate for a 9 to 12 -Month contract in
Mississauga area 3
days in office/2 days WFH.
Our client is seeking an experienced
Payroll Associate
to join their Finance team. The Payroll Associate will help with Payroll of approx. 350 in Canada, 150 in USA. and will be using
Dayforce in Canada and ADP in USA . The candidate for this Payroll Associate will also needs expertise in benefits administration and a strong understanding of payroll accounting. This role is well suited for a payroll person who has done full cycle accounting in a medium sized business.
Key Responsibilities:
Support full-cycle payroll processing for employees in Canada and the U.S., including new hires, terminations, employee updates, pay changes, and leave administration.
Process and validate payroll data using
ADP Workforce Now and Dayforce
to ensure payroll accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with payroll legislation.
Assist with year-end payroll activities, including T4s, T2200s, W-2s, 1099s, 1095s, and statutory requirements such as WSIB and Employer Health Tax (EHT).
Administer employee benefits across
Canada and the U.S.,
including enrollments, deductions, taxable benefits, remittances, and plans such as HSA, 401(k), and RRSP.
Maintain accurate payroll records, reconcile payroll data, update benefit deductions, and support internal audits and payroll compliance reviews.
Prepare payroll-related journal entries, assist with payroll reporting, and support finance and HR teams with payroll analysis and documentation.
Respond to payroll and employee inquiries professionally while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and a high level of customer service.
Qualifications
3+ years of payroll experience, including hands-on experience with both Canadian payroll and S. payroll.
Proven experience with
ADP and Dayforce ; experience with SuccessFactors is considered an asset.
Familiarity with payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping systems such as UKG, ADP, and SuccessFactors.
Robust knowledge of payroll legislation, payroll tax requirements, year-end processing, and cross-border payroll compliance.
Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and payroll data analysis.
Excellent attention to detail, robust organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
