Location: Downtown Core (Hybrid: 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote)
Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
About the Opportunity
A premier, global financial services organization is seeking an elite Senior Project Manager – Regulatory Remediation to lead a high-visibility, high-impact initiative within its downtown hub.
This role goes beyond traditional delivery; it requires an authoritative project leader with deep functional expertise in Federal Reserve supervisory remediation (MRAs/MRIAs). You will be the central force driving complex regulatory commitments from initial action planning through rigorous control testing, all Lines of Defence validation, and ultimate regulatory closure.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery: Drive the full lifecycle of Federal Reserve MRA and MRIA remediation—translating supervisory findings into structured action plans, milestones, target operating controls, and explicit closure criteria.
- Control Testing & 2LOD Handoff: Manage pre-validation control testing activities, identifying control design and operating effectiveness gaps early to ensure high-maturity remediation packages before formal transfer to 2nd Line of Defence (2LOD).
- Readiness Assessments: Lead strict remediation-readiness evaluations to ensure all corrective actions, control evidence, and documentation withstand independent challenge and scrutiny.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Mobilize and align multidisciplinary teams across Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to deliver against aggressive regulatory deadlines.
- Governance & Escalation: Maintain robust program governance (RAID management, end-to-end traceability, dependency mapping, and paths to green) and deliver executive-level status reporting to steering committees and risk control boards.
- Multi-Line Defence Collaboration: Partner closely with 1st Line control owners, 2nd Line Risk,
3rd Line Internal Audit, and external regulatory-facing teams to resolve complex challenges and track findings to sustainable closure.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Direct Federal Reserve Remediation (Mandatory): Hands-on experience delivering and closing Federal Reserve supervisory findings, specifically Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs) and Matters Requiring Immediate Attention (MRIAs).
- Financial Services Expertise: Demonstrated success leading large-scale regulatory remediation programs within a major bank or highly regulated global financial institution.
- Remediation Lifecycle Mastery: Deep, end-to-end knowledge of the remediation path from Regulatory Finding until Regulatory Submission/Closure.
- Control & Evidence Assessment: Proven capability to critically evaluate control design, operational effectiveness testing, and regulatory evidence packages to ensure completeness and sustainability.
- Cross-Line Navigation: Expertise navigating the complexities between 1LOD execution, 2LOD oversight, 3LOD audit, and independent assurance functions.
- Executive Presence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex control/regulatory matters and interface directly with senior executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to technology risk, cybersecurity, operational risk, or consent-order remediation environments.
- Deep knowledge of control testing methodologies, design effectiveness (DE) / operating effectiveness (OE) frameworks, and evidence gathering standards.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, CRISC, or CISA are solid assets.
Who You Are
You are a proactive, battle-tested regulatory delivery leader who thrives at the intersection of program execution, risk governance, and regulatory assurance. You possess the technical rigor to challenge evidence quality, the authority to hold functional teams accountable, and the strategic clarity to guide complex regulatory commitments across the finish line.
