The Squamish Waldorf School is seeking an Early Childhood Educator for our preschool program. The position is for the 2026-27 academic year, starting in August 2026. The work must be completed in office. There is no option to work remotely. Tasks/Responsibilities

Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children Storytelling Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating,



dressing and toilet habits Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods Knowledge of licensing regulations Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children The ideal candidate has an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, their First Aid Certificate, and at least 5 years of experience working in childcare. The candidate should also be experienced with/interested in Waldorf Education. We can only accept applications from individuals legally permitted to work in Canada.
