Responsibilities

- Supervise and care for a child
- Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of parents
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Bath, dress, and feed child
- Discipline child according to parents’ methods
- Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development
- Maintain a safe and healthy home environment
- Organise activities such as games and outings
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Prepare child for rest periods




- Tend to child’s emotional well‑being

Requirements

- Security and safety: criminal record check
- Weight handling: up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- Personal suitability: client focus, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organisational skills, reliability, time management, patience, honesty
- Languages: English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: Experience an asset
