Wright Tree Service of Canada is recruiting an Equipment Operator for a full‑time position. Reports to: General Foreperson.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a variety of mulching equipment, including mulchers, skid steers, chippers, tractors with mulching attachments, under high voltage power lines.Ensure equipment is used properly and safely, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.Truncate unwanted brush, trees, or overgrown vegetation using mulching machines, which chop and break down material into small mulch.Work on land‑clearing projects to prepare sites for recent construction, landscaping, or forestry management.Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the equipment, including checking fluid levels, cleaning the equipment, and ensuring productive operation.Report any mechanical issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.Cooperate with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.Set up barriers, warning signs,



and flags to protect employees and the public.Receive training to perform tree and bucket rescue.Perform other duties as required.Experience and Knowledge ExpectationsValid Class 3 driver’s license and a current Driver Abstract with less than 6 demerits.Airbrake endorsement or willingness to obtain one.Pass a pre‑employment drug and screening test.Valid First Aid and CPR certifications or willingness to obtain them.Experience operating heavy equipment such as tandem axle grapple trucks, Sennebogen equipment, and chainsaws.Experience working around hazardous equipment.Ability to work as part of a team in physically demanding environments, lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.Motivation to learn independently and from team members, with strong time‑management skills.Comfortable working in noisy environments with proper PPE.Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment.Pay$28-30 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and commitment to ongoing development.Work ShiftsMonday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.BenefitsComprehensive medical and dental benefits.PPE: 100% PPE provided; bring your CSA‑approvedwork boots.Employee ownership: 100% employee owned, units on your behalf based on company safety and financial performance at no cost to you.The posting will remain open until the role is filled.#J-18808-Ljbffr
