Job DescriptionThe Inventory Control Specialist II is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels and the timely availability of materials to support manufacturing requirements. This role manages inventory transactions, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities while partnering cross‑functionally with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and Finance to maintain inventory accuracy, minimize shortages, and support efficient material flow. The specialist plays a key role in maintaining data integrity within ERP systems and supporting continuous improvement in inventory control processes.Job Responsibilities & RequirementsJob: Inventory Control Specialist IILocation: Avenue SE, Calgary, AB T2C 2S9Shift Times: Monday to Friday 7AM – 3:30PMResponsibilitiesSet up, define, and maintain inventory locations (primary focus during the first 12 months)Coordinate and execute kit issuing to production in alignment with production schedulesPerform cycle counting: count and compare listed versus physical counts, investigate discrepancies, and correct system entriesMonitor low‑inventory alerts and initiate replenishment actions, including purchase order creation as requiredMaintain inventory accuracy in ERP and spreadsheetsReceive incoming materials & put away correctlyEnsure next‑day preparations for production, including stockroom organization, inventory accuracy, kitting, material availability, timely replenishment, and supplier follow‑up for urgent material needsGenerate pick‑lists: part numbers, descriptions, quantities required,



and storage locationsQualificationsHigh School/GED requiredEquivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis2+ Years inventory control, materials management, production control, or supply chain operations experience required2+ Years manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments supporting production requiredSoft SkillsAbility to process, comprehend, analyze, and follow detailed written and verbal instructionsAbility to organize and prioritize, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervisionProficient in the use of a computer and various software packages, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong communication skills; able to interact professionally with co‑workers, vendors, and customersPhysical DemandsThis role is primarily performed in a factory and is exposed to temperature changes, noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes, and navigation around factory machines.
