The group copy supervisor must possess superior conceptual skills, knowledge of pharmaceutical requirements/terminology, and great copywriting and conceptual skills. This position reports to the Creative Director.Specific ResponsibilitiesWrites copy, concepts, and campaignsSupervises all promotional copy, concepts, and campaigns across all brandsWork extremely closely with the Medical Department to maintain the highest level of scientific accuracy in development of promotional workRaise creative consciousness of agency through internal presentations and leadershipKeep all work consistent and on brand guidelines and strategyContribute to strategic and tactical planningKey client contact for applicable brandsEstablish credibility with clients at all levels through advanced thinking and clear communicationHelps establish and maintain the highest possible standards of reproduction for all digital, print, audio/visual and collateral materials produced by the agencyProvides direction and guidance to department subordinatesInforms and advises the Creative Director on the status of departmental affairsEncourages the professional development of department staffConsults with the Creative Director, as well as account service,



traffic and other agency team members as necessary to achieve agency objectivesHelp to identify and eliminate factors creating a crisis, and minimize recurrenceMeets established deadlines or provides reasonable notice to the Creative Director of special circumstances requiring deadline extensionMaintains a current list of available freelance writersConsults with Creative Director and agency services manager regarding staffing needsEngage in personal development necessary to stay current in advertisingResearches to become more familiar with clients’ businessesPreferred QualificationsA bachelor's degree in a relevant area preferred6-8 years of experience in a rapid-paced, high-volume environment in pharma advertisingPresents a strong portfolio demonstrating superior conceptual and copywriting abilityFantastic presentation and communication skillsExcellent supervisory, management, judgment, and decision-making skillsExcellent copywriting and conceptual skillsDemonstrated organizational and analytical skillsProven ability to multitask, handle stressful situations, and deadline pressuresUnderstanding of Adobe Creative Suite. Proficient in Microsoft Office.Ability to prioritize workflow and redirect agency projects to meet competing and changing deadlinesSalary range: $165,000 - $185,000 CAD. The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need.
