Become an essential part of the rehabilitation team as an Occupational Therapist focused on neurological cases. Utilize a person-centred approach to improve patients' functional performance in preparation for community discharge.
This role requires an experienced Occupational Therapist dedicated to the stroke and neurological population, with additional exposure to various conditions like burns and trauma. Your key responsibilities will include assessments, care plans, patient education, and interprofessional collaboration during meetings and clinical rounds.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments for diverse patient populations
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Facilitate patient and family education throughout rehabilitation
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
• Supervise support staff and students during clinical activities
Requirements:
• Completed a recognized Occupational Therapy program
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• At least one year of clinical rehab experience required
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and access to a car
