Great location; steps away from the main public transit station.The OpportunityReporting to the Manager, Third Party Residential Underwriting, the Mortgage Underwriter is responsible for rendering credit decisions on incoming applications within their authorized limits and with adherence to company and insurer policies and guidelines while focusing on service excellence. The Mortgage Underwriter applies due diligence when reviewing required documentation to ensure accuracy and to protect the Company from risk. Manage files from the time they are committed by the underwriter until all the broker's conditions are met on the commitment.How You Will ContributeEstablishes and maintains positive relationships with mortgage brokers to build loyalty to the CompanyMaintains positive relationships with external partners such as mortgage insurers, appraisers, title insurance companies, and solicitorsInteracts with mortgage brokers for the collection of all required documents to satisfy mortgage commitment conditionsReviews and verifies accuracy of required documentation related to income, down payment and the property using sound due diligence and in compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines prior to signing off on any mortgage conditions or documents,
