About the Role

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to establish and lead the legal function, providing strategic and commercial legal guidance across a wide range of matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for executive leadership, strategic advisory, and will serve as the principal legal advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team. This role involves a diverse set of responsibilities, including commercial contracts, corporate transactions, growth initiatives, litigation, claims, and regulatory matters. The General Counsel will also be tasked with building a scalable, business-focused legal function, managing external counsel relationships,



and ensuring the company's legal interests are protected in both Canadian and U.S. legal environments.

Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a law degree and be a member in good standing of a Canadian law society, with at least 7 years' of legal experience. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in advising senior executives, experience in acquisitions, negotiations, and a strong working knowledge of governance, risk, compliance, privacy, IP, and regulatory matters. Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential. The ideal candidate will be pragmatic, collaborative, and effective in a rapid-moving environment, with experience in the manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sector being an asset.
