Business Management and End User Services (BMEUS) department of WorkSafeBC provides an exceptional technology experience for our organization by delivering services that meet end‑user needs for technology education and support and ensuring transparent and accountable decision‑making through governance practices and policies.The BMEUS department is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, innovative co‑op student to join our team and help us strive towards our vision.Through This Role, You Will Gain Exposure ToEnterprise IT Service Management and IT Asset Management practicesAsset lifecycle concepts (request, procure, deploy, manage, retire, dispose)Data quality, reporting, and basic analysis techniquesITSM platforms (e.G., ticketing systems, CMDBs, asset tools)Real world IT governance, compliance, and operational supportThis is an 8‑month long co‑op role starting in September 2026.How you’ll make a difference: You’ll apply what you’ve learned in your experience and post‑secondary program to benefit workers and employers across B.C.Where you’ll workAt WorkSafeBC, we offer a model that combines the convenience of some remote work with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position. In this role, you’ll work three or more days a week in our Richmond office. For the first two weeks, please be expected to work full‑time onsite.On Day 1 you will meet your manager and the team, set up administrative and technological essentials, and complete onboarding tasks, including security and payroll setup. During your first week you will engage in a comprehensive onboarding program designed to equip you for success.This role is ideal for an individual who is eager to step beyond their comfort zone. We are looking for someone with a detective mindset, strong motivation, and a passion for innovation.
The right candidate will possess analytical and critical thinking skills, enabling them to propose ideas that enhance various processes and initiatives, and explore recent approaches to work within the department.Your Daily Responsibilities IncludePerform data analysis including quality testing and validating data ingestionAssist the teams in analyzing business processes impacted by new systems or system enhancementsAssist in documenting processes, standards and proceduresAssist in developing training materials including how‑to videos for the services and asset management practicesSupport continuous improvement activities that expand and enhance the use of end‑user technology platform capabilities across the organizationAssist the teams in troubleshooting system healthAssist the team in developing simple request workflowsWe're Looking For Someone Who CanThink strategically when reviewing business needsAnalyze and demonstrate critical thinking to understand business processes at an enterprise levelDemonstrate self‑motivation by creating and executing plansCommunicate and collaborate effectively with team membersYour Background And ExperienceCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and majoring in either Business Administration with an interest in Technology or Technology programs with interest in Business AdministrationDemonstrated interest or aptitude in technology is requiredAn eagerness to learn, try new things out and bring curiosity to the rolePrevious co‑op or work experience in an office environment is an assetPrevious exposure to research or analyst experiences are nice to haveImportant to knowConfirm you’re legally entitled to work in CanadaConfirm you’re a registered student at a post‑secondary institution and participating in a work‑integrated learning programOur Benefits4% in lieu of benefits4% in lieu of vacationSalary$25.28 hourly#J-18808-Ljbffr
