Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement and Subcontract, the Procurement Coordinator is responsible for supporting our Civil Procurement team in all purchasing related activities. This person will also ensure the timely receipt of goods in SAP, track deliveries and return of rental equipment, and act as a liaison between offices and field workers. The role requires strong knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.What You’ll Do HereResponsible for receiving function in SAP to ensure costs are incurred in a timely mannerCoordinate with the construction team to collect bills of lading and shipment receiptsManage project invoices (review for compliance, resolve issues, track invoice status)Coordinate invoice issues with buyers, finance, and project controlsMaintain project records and save documentation in the project document repositoryUnderstand and familiarize with project procurement plans and Subcon SOPsAssist and support procurement team resources with Procure 2 Process Activities and reconciliations as requiredMaintain and organize all related filing systems based on approved proceduresProvide ad hoc reporting on procurement activities as requiredWork with procurement, vendors, and the Aecon Corporate Data team to set up current vendors in SAPWhat You Bring To The Team2‑3 years of procurement or relevant experience in the construction or infrastructure industryAn undergraduate degree in Business Administration preferredProven organizational skills and ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentAdvanced communication skills demonstrated through multi‑disciplinary project & program meetings, technical reviews,
and vendor interactionsExperience in program management considered an assetAbility to interpret process flow charts and understand data movement across applicationsCapability to build positive working relationships with industry professionals and internal clientsAttention to detail, strong mathematical and analytical skillsSolid research skills and commitment to continuous learning about new products, technologies, and processesProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP (Procure to Pay)Reason for vacancy: NewThe expected pay range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 per year. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as work location, education, experience, unique skills, and job conditions.
