We are seeking a highly motivated Jr. Building Operator for our Operations team at the Richmond‑Adelaide Centre in Toronto. The incumbent will monitor and adjust building equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and respond to tenant and operation team requests in a timely manner.ResponsibilitiesMonitor day‑to‑day operations/repairs of complex HVAC equipment (pumps, motors, fans, variable speed drives, compressors, etc.), life safety systems, building automation systems, and lighting systems.Manage the water treatment program, conduct regular water tests, and add chemicals.Perform preventative maintenance on all building and HVAC equipment, including small plumbing repairs and drain clearing.Respond to and resolve tenant requests logged through 310‑MAXX, maintaining ongoing communication with tenants regarding mechanical/HVAC issues.Liaise with service providers and contractors.Review and monitor contracted work to ensure it is performed safely and complies with building standards.Develop energy priorities for building systems to align with Oxford’s sustainability practices and objectives, including daily energy management of HVAC and lighting systems.Perform general maintenance and other duties as requested.Qualifications1+ year of technical and mechanical building operations experience.Knowledge and experience operating HVAC equipment,
plumbing, electrical, BAS, FAS and life safety systems (preferably in office/retail).Building Environmental Systems (BES) Certification Class I completed or in‑progress.BOMI, SMT or SMA an asset but not required.Skills in blueprint reading, as applied to technical areas.Exceptional communication, organization, customer service, interpersonal, and time management skills.Ability to work with minimal supervision.8‑hour shift work including Monday to Saturday (12 p.M. – 8 p.M.); every other Saturday and Friday off.Must be able to lift 25 lb and climb safely on ladders.Team player.The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 – $60,000. You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short‑term Incentive plan and our Long‑Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in group benefits and retirement plans.
