SALARY Starting Salary Opportunity: $118,400+BONUS Bonus at Target: $41,440VACANCY TYPE This posting reflects an ongoing prospect for future openingsJOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead tax planning strategies aligned with corporate objectivesLead, coach, and train the tax teamStay abreast of legislative changes to ensure appropriate planning, compliance, and reporting with federal/provincial tax lawsOversee tax audits, including government / external auditor inquiries, and resolution of audit issuesReview all tax filings, including corporate, sales, excise, and non-resident tax filingsCollaborate with finance, legal, and external advisorsProvide guidance on tax implications of business decisions and initiativesDrive continuous improvement in tax processes and controlsJOB QUALIFICATIONSUndergraduate degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA designation or working toward CPA preferred.6+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry.Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax legislation (income and/or indirect tax).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is an asset.Completion of CPA In-Depth Tax courses or Master of Taxation is an asset.Bilingualism (English/French)
