Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada (On site). Salary based on experience – up to $44.66/hour.Air Canada is currently seeking motivated individuals to fill a full time Aircraft Technician position at our Calgary maintenance center located near Calgary International Airport.Compensation will be based on experience and the collective agreement.Aircraft technicians are responsible for airframe maintenance and should have the following skills and abilities:Ability to use the appropriate tools, methods, techniques and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenanceAbility to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and proficiency with computers and diagnostic toolsTeamwork, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain a customer‑focused attitude in a demanding, high‑pressure environmentAbility to work independently, with support via phone and computer; self‑motivation and confidence are assetsVideo: https://vimeo.Com/(phone hidden)/87320bbc10BenefitsGenerous travel program; travel privilegesavailable to eligible employees after twenty‑eight (28) weeks of serviceComprehensive health and dental benefit plans for you and your familyTraining and development tools to help you reach your full potentialQualificationsHigh school diplomaCompletion of a recognized apprenticeship program and/or at least 2 years of industry experiencePossession of a Transport Canada AME‑E license (mandatory)Valid driver’s license (mandatory)Ability to successfully pass pre‑employment qualification exam, medical examination and security screeningAvailability to work nights, evenings and days,



including weekends and statutory holidaysAbility to obtain and hold a ramp vehicle operator permit (mandatory)Possession of a restricted radio operator’s certificate (aviation)Must be able to obtain and maintain all transport security clearances and any additional applicable accreditationsPunctuality and reliability to support overall team success in a fast‑paced environmentEmployees in this role perform safety‑critical work; Air Canada medical standards apply.
