A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced General Litigator to join its growing practice. The successful candidate will independently manage a broad litigation caseload, representing individuals and businesses through all stages of the litigation process, including client consultations, pleadings, discoveries, negotiations, mediations, and court appearances. The role offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of civil litigation matters, with the ability to support family law files considered a strong asset.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation files from intake through resolution or trial.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal opinions, and settlement documents.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
- Build strong client relationships while delivering practical and strategic legal advice.
Qualifications:
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
- Proven experience in general civil litigation with the ability to independently manage files.
- Family law experience is considered a robust asset.
- Excellent advocacy, negotiation, legal drafting, and client management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced practice.
