EAP (English for Academic Purposes) Instructor - (3817)Mount Royal University’s English Language Program is hiring two instructors for a short-term Summer English and Culture Program running from July 6 – 31, 2026. This customized program welcomes international students to develop their English language skills while learning about Canadian culture and university life in Calgary.Reporting to the Learn English for Academic Purposes (LEAP) Program Manager, the successful candidate will teach English language classes focused on integrated language skills development, including speaking, listening, vocabulary, pronunciation, and intercultural communication. Classes will include a combination of classroom instruction, interactive activities, and theme-based learning connected to Canadian culture and daily life.Our instructors bring adult education expertise and familiarity with current research in language teaching to the classroom through engaging lesson planning and student-centered instruction. The successful candidate will be able to apply appropriate teaching methods to meet learner needs, facilitate communicative and interactive learning experiences, assess student progress informally throughout the program, and collaborate professionally with colleagues and staff.Program DatesInstructor start date: July 2, 2026 (orientation, preparation, and program onboarding)Course Hours: Monday to Friday (9:00 a.M. – 1:00 p.M.)Preparation, grading, planning, and meeting times are paid.ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging English language lessons aligned with the program curriculum and learning outcomesFacilitate communicative,
