Location: Fredericton area (Horizon), _Dietitian - Fredericton Area , New Brunswick - Permanent Full Time Competition #: 166158 External Posted: September 3, 2026 Closes: September 16, 2026 at 11:59 pm Atlantic Standard Time Anticipated Start Date: October 2, 2026 Location: Dietetics Job Classification: Dietitian 1 (DT01) Job Classification Type: SHCP Job Type: Permanent Full Time FTE: 1 Schedule: Day, Subject to change due to operational requirements Language Requirement: English Essential and spoken French (B1.2 / Intermediate +) Salary: 36.1698 to 47.4467 per hour JOB PURPOSE Working in collaboration with hospital teams, community services and other system partners, the Dietitian is responsible for managing the nutritional care of patients or clients. This is professional dietetics practice in either clinical nutrition, community nutrition needs or food service operations towards the attainment, maintenance, and promotion of the health of individuals, groups, and the community QUALIFICATIONS Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Dietitians. Willing to participate in continuing education/certification programs as outlined during orientation and onboarding within a defined timeframe. Minimum 1 year recent and direct experience (within last 5 years) would be an asset depending on the department.
Ability to travel for client appointments and community meeting using own transportation for those working in Public Health. Ability to attend work on a regular basis. Ability to perform the duties of the position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Dietitian is responsible for: Review patient medical history, symptoms, medications, laboratory tests, anthropometric data (BMI, height, ideal or standard body weight). Establish a nutrition care plan, coordinate care and provide behaviour modification and counselling techniques. Document assessments, interventions, treatment plans and communication with care team.
