Job Title: Mine Manager

Location: Eastern Canada

Remuneration: C$250,000–C$300,000+ Total Potential Package

The Role:

Xtrava Group is supporting a major mining company with the appointment of an experienced Mine Manager to lead a significant hard-rock mining operation in Eastern Canada.

This is a senior site leadership position with responsibility for the secure, efficient and commercially successful delivery of mining activities.

The Mine Manager will be given considerable autonomy and will take ownership of operational performance while building strong relationships across the workforce, client and broader project team.

Duties

- Lead the safe and efficient delivery of day-to-day mining operations
- Oversee production, drill & blast and mine execution
- Manage mobile fleet performance, equipment and workforce utilisation
- Lead and develop supervisors, mining teams and site personnel
- Ensure production and project activities are delivered against schedule and budget




- Maintain strong safety, quality and regulatory standards
- Manage project costs, budgets and commercial performance
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and supporting technical functions
- Build effective relationships with the client and key project stakeholders
- Identify and deliver operational and productivity improvements
- Provide clear leadership and accountability across the site

Experience & Requirements

- Strong hard-rock mining experience
- Previous experience as a Mine Manager, Mining Manager, Project Manager or equivalent senior operational leader
- Strong understanding of drill & blast, production, mine execution and mining conditions
- Experience leading sizeable site-based mining teams
- Strong knowledge of mobile mining equipment, fleet performance and workforce utilisation
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, costs and commercial/project performance
- Demonstrated accountability for safety, people and operational performance
- Commercially minded and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build credibility across operational teams and senior stakeholders
- Visible, pragmatic and safety-focused leadership style
