Site SupervisorTemporary Full Time (Split Shift) – 35 hours per week (Split Shift).Start date: 22 June 2026Term: 22 June 2026 – 16 July 2027Location: St Jude Child Care Centre, 3251 Weston Road, North York, ON, M9M 2T9Position SummaryThe Site Supervisor is accountable for leading, planning, organizing and coordinating the day‑to‑day activities and operations of the Child Care Centre. The role involves mentoring and supporting staff to deliver high‑quality programs to children, youth, and families in a safe, family‑friendly, integrated and supportive environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and facilitate planning, implementation and execution of programs to meet annual goals and strategic objectives.Implement new integrated projects or strategies, monitoring project goals and quality outcomes.Support staff to participate in high‑quality program delivery and community development experiences.Coordinate community outreach and promotional activities to recruit children and families.Objectively evaluate referrals of children with extra support needs and identify required resources.Promote parent engagement, evaluate strategies and adjust as required.Liaise with agencies and professionals to access resources for children with extra support needs.Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and community needs, adjusting accordingly.Advocate for children and families to influence resource allocation within systems and institutions.Orient new staff,



volunteers and students to the centre or program.Prepare the centre to achieve a clear license annually in compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act and Toronto Children’s Early Learning and Care Assessment for Quality Improvement.Manage program enrolment and anticipate needs for new offerings to support viability.Model confidentiality practices with staff, colleagues, children and families.Approve staff schedules, vacation requests and timesheets in a timely manner.Effectively manage Collective Agreements with staff and providers.Ensure Occupational Health & Safety Act and Smoke Free Ontario Act requirements are met.Participate in management committees and project teams as required.Comply with Macaulay policies and support agency initiatives.Collect and prepare operating statistical reports.Maintain maintenance and confidentiality of all staff and family files.Investigate and report serious occurrence documentation in a timely manner.Attend Supervisor network meetings as required.Conduct annual evaluations for all supervised positions.Collaborate with teams to plan and execute special events.QualificationsB.A. or B.A.A. in Early Childhood Education with 3 years’ experience or E.C.E. diploma with 5 years’ experience in group care.Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.Strong working knowledge of the ELECT framework, How Does Learning Happen,



and play‑based curriculum planning.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.Strong working knowledge of child development.Strong working knowledge of the Child and Early Years Act and Toronto Children’s Early Learning and Care Assessment for Quality Improvement.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience working with children with extra support needs within a child care setting.Demonstrated flexibility and problem‑solving skills.Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with parents/families, colleagues and service providers of diverse backgrounds.Experience working within school settings.Member in valuable standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.Acceptable Vulnerable Police Record Check.Current First Aid certification and appropriate medical and immunization records.Salary and BenefitsSite Supervisor Salary Scale (starting at $65,065–$74,447 per annum) with a competitive benefits package (health & dental) and paid time off entitlement (starting at 20 vacation days & 5 float days).This position is not within the CUPE Local 2563 bargaining unit.Macaulay Centres for Children is committed to service and employment equity.
