Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Project Accountant to join a growing finance team within a dynamic, project‑based professional services environment. This role will be responsible for supporting the financial administration of a large portfolio of active projects, including project setup, billing, revenue tracking, financial reporting, and project analysis.This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and partnering with project teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational success.Salary: $70,000 – $80,000Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day‑to‑day accounting and financial administration of assigned projects.Prepare and review client invoices in accordance with contractual terms, company procedures, and project requirements.Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, costs, revenue recognition, and profitability.Track and maintain project setups within the organization’s ERP/project management system.Review project‑related transactions to ensure accurate coding and financial reporting.Support accounts receivable activities, including monitoring aging reports and assisting with collections as required.Prepare project financial reports and analyses for management and project leaders.Assist with month‑end close activities, reconciliations,



and reporting requirements.Collaborate closely with project managers and operational teams to support project delivery and financial objectives.Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and contractual obligations.Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.Participate in ad hoc projects and financial analysis as required.QualificationsDiploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of project accounting experience.Experience in engineering consulting, construction, architecture, skilled services, or similar industries is considered an asset.Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, Deltek Vision, or similar ERP/project accounting systems is an asset.Pursuit of a CPA designation is considered an asset but is not required.Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of accounting principles and project accounting fundamentals.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.Demonstrated initiative, confidence, and ability to work independently.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to manage a high volume of projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.Positive, collaborative, and proactive approach to work.#J-18808-Ljbffr
