About the Role We’re looking for a Fullstack/Backend Developer specializing in APIs and AI integrations to build the next generation of investor workflows. You will design and implement backend services, RPC endpoints, database structures, and LLM‑powered features that help fund managers understand and communicate with LPs. You’ll work across a modern, strongly‑typed monorepo environment (Node.Js, TypeScript, Twirp/Protobuf, Postgres/Kysely) and collaborate closely with product and frontend teams. You’ll have deep ownership, real product influence, and the opportunity to build an industry‑defining platform from the ground up.



What You’ll Do Build new API endpoints and backend services in Node.Js/TypeScript Develop AI‑powered investor workflows (summarization, insights, categorization) Extend internal packages (RPC, utilities) across the monorepo Design & optimise relational database schemas and queries (Postgres/Kysely) Write robust unit and integration tests Improve API performance and scalability Experiment with AI/LLM integrations to unlock current product capabilities Collaborate with frontend, product, and infra teams What You Bring 4+ years backend‑focused engineering experience Solid SQL and experience with relational databases Familiarity with monorepos (pnpm, Turborepo) Interest or experience in AI/LLM development Strong testing, code quality, and problem‑solving skills Comfort working in a small, fast‑paced, async‑first senior team Nice to Have Experience with Protobuf/Twirp or gRPC Familiarity with SvelteKit or modern frontend frameworks Understanding of fund management, fintech, or investor workflows Compensation and Benefits Salary: $110,000–$160,000 CAD, based on value and experience Meaningful early‑stage equity Company‑wide paid shutdown between Christmas and New Year Annual offsites with the global team Hybrid schedule: 3 days on‑site in Mile End + 60 remote work days/year #J-18808-Ljbffr
