Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance to join their team in Toronto, Ontario. This role supports strategic decision-making through financial modelling, valuation, and analysis related to acquisitions, capital allocation, and long‑range planning.What You'll DoPerform analysis related to potential acquisitions, partnerships, strategic projects, and investment initiatives and their impact on value creation and financial metricsDevelop knowledge in and serve as subject matter expert for Total Shareholder Return (TSR), valuation, and performance metrics for CTC and peer groupMonitor and update the Total Shareholder Return model to support decision makingWork with business units and corporate groups (CPG, Treasury, Strategy, Corporate Development, FP&A) to consolidate financials and summarize performance metrics of business opportunities/M&A into meaningful analysisSupport refining the framework for estimating enterprise‑level hurdle rates and periodically run estimation of hurdle rates and impairment WACCCollect and analyze market, peer group, and macro data for capital allocation, Plan and Outlook projections, portfolio management evaluations, strategic initiatives, and scenario planningSupport capital allocation planning (capex, dividends, share repurchases)Develop financial models that support analysis and decision makingSupport improvement of long‑range financial projections capability including scenario modelling (pro forma M&A models, sensitivity models)Periodically support the Enterprise Investment Planning team in monthly/quarterly reporting, strategic plan, and forecastsPrepare financial analysis (income statement, balance sheet, capital expense, and working capital analysis) comparing results to prior year, budget, forecast,



or trend analysisCreate and update PowerPoint presentations and communications to the Executive Team, CFO, and Board of DirectorsPerform ad hoc analysis as required by Senior ManagementWhat You BringUniversity degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business‑related disciplineFinancial designation (CA, CFA, CMA) or MBA is considered an assetMinimum of 2–3 years' progressive experience in a finance or analytical role with emphasis on corporate finance, financial modelling, and analysis; strong knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements2 years' experience in a medium to large corporation in a Forecasting and Planning role is an assetStrong financial acumen including modelling, business case development, and financial valuationAbility to work through ambiguous business problems with minimal direction in a rapid‑paced environment under tight deadlinesSuperior analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detailStrong executive communication and presentation skillsExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint (and Data Visualization) and ExcelWorking knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, and/or Hyperion is considered an assetCompensation & BenefitsBroadband salary range: $53,000 – $88,000; typical hiring range: $53,000 – $72,000Comprehensive benefits and retirement programsPerformance incentives and continuing education programsMental health benefits of $5,000 per year for benefits‑eligible employees and their familiesCanadian Tire Profit SharingCareer growth opportunities and product discountsTriangle Learning Academy for supported professional developmentUniversity degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business‑related discipline; minimum 2–3 years' experience in corporate finance and financial modelling; strong knowledge of financial statements; expert Excel and PowerPoint skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
