high performance and a culture of safety and accountability.Role Overview/PurposeThe Dewatering Millwright will be responsible for performing a full range of maintenance, repair, and service activities. The incumbent will use considerable judgment in making decisions and be able to perform all tasks in accordance with Alamos’ workplace safety rules and regulations.Primary ResponsibilitiesReading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirementsPreparing layouts in conformance to pump and piping installationsMaintaining, rebuilding and installation of pump assembliesWelding and cutting experience would be an assetMobile diesel mechanical experience would be an assetRigging and hoisting experience requiredEquipment operation would be an asset (IE, Backhoe, Skid Steer, Loader, Service Truck with Jib)Other tasks as assignedSkills, Knowledge, Qualifications and ExperienceCompletion of a 4‑year apprentice program OR a minimum of 5 years’ millwright‑related work experience and high school, college, or industry coursesOpen Pit common core modules would be considered an assetProficiency in Microsoft Office programsPossess a valid Canadian driver’s license and clear driver’s abstractGood interpersonal and communication skills,
with the ability to work effectively as part of a teamCritical thinking and problem‑solving skillsAbility to thrive in an environment of change; must be creative and flexibleWorking ConditionsThe ideal candidate for the role will work a rotation of 14 days on and 14 off (day and night shifts)Position is subject to call outsAlthough you will be assigned a work schedule, this is not a guaranteed schedule of hours, and your work hours may vary with the needs of the company.Pay or shift range: $43.60 CAD to $67.32 CADPhysical requirementsRole is physically demandingReady to make a lasting impact?
