About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established global professional services organization seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join its People & Culture team.
This is a strategic HR role that partners closely with business leaders to align people strategies with organizational objectives. The successful candidate will provide a combination of strategic advice and hands-on HR support, helping leaders build high-performing, engaged teams while effectively managing employee relations, organizational change, and talent initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnership
- Partner with business leaders to understand organizational priorities, workforce requirements, and talent needs.
- Develop and execute people strategies that support business objectives.
- Provide trusted HR advice, coaching, and guidance to leaders and employees.
- Identify people-related risks and develop practical solutions in partnership with HR leadership and Centres of Excellence.
- Use HR data, reporting, market trends, and workforce insights to support informed business decisions.
- Develop strong relationships with leadership teams by gaining a deep understanding of their business, strategy, and objectives.
Organizational Change & Employee Engagement
- Support organizational change initiatives aligned with business priorities.
- Develop and implement change management and organizational development strategies.
- Partner with leaders to identify employee needs, concerns, and engagement opportunities.
- Analyze employee engagement trends and support the development of action plans to improve engagement and retention.
- Help foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Communicate HR initiatives, programs, and organizational changes effectively to employees and leadership.
Employee Relations & Performance
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including performance, grievances, and workplace concerns.
- Manage and/or support workplace investigations and conflict resolution when required.
- Coach leaders on effective performance management, feedback, and employee development.
- Provide advice on HR matters with consideration for organizational risk and financial exposure.
- Support leaders in building effective teams and identifying the capabilities required to achieve business objectives.
HR Programs & Projects
- Lead and contribute to HR projects and initiatives across areas such as:
- Employee engagement
- Performance management
- Talent identification and development
- Organizational development
- Change management
- Deliver both strategic and operational HR programs.
- Support broader regional, national, or global HR initiatives as required.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across HR processes, programs, and practices.
- Stay current with evolving HR practices, legislation, market trends, and industry developments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or post-secondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a business partnering or generalist HR capacity.
- Experience providing strategic HR support to senior leaders and business stakeholders.
- Strong employee relations, performance management, and organizational change experience.
- Experience working within a qualified services environment is highly desirable.
- Regional HR certification or professional designation is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use HR data and insights to inform recommendations and decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
