Join the University of Waterloo as an Outreach and Engagement Specialist to design programs that promote post-secondary education among diverse student groups. Your efforts will help create inclusive prospects. This full-time, temporary role is pivotal in the Marketing & Undergraduate Recruitment unit, focusing on the Ontario Postsecondary Access and Inclusion Program.
You will develop and execute engaging events and teaching sessions for elementary and secondary audiences, ensuring that barriers to education are addressed. Your cooperative work will enhance outreach initiatives, fostering a sense of belonging among students. Key Responsibilities:
Manage logistics for outreach events and programming
Develop partnerships with schools and community organizations
Create curricula-aligned educational content for students
Document insights and recommendations from outreach efforts
Report on program successes to stakeholders Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably from UWaterloo
Experience hosting large-scale educational events
Solid organizational and communication skills
Understanding of inclusion and equity in education
Valid Driver’s Abstract and a G driver’s license Enhance post-secondary engagement and support diverse learners through impactful outreach at the University of Waterloo.
