Become an Assistant Professor in U-Pb Geochronology at the University of British Columbia (UBC). This tenure track role invites cutting-edge researchers eager to apply their expertise to solid Earth sciences. At UBC's Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (EOAS), you will lead an externally funded research program focused on high-precision U-Pb methods.

The position includes mentoring roles and prospects for teaching both undergraduates and graduates. Influencing the field, you will collaborate with a vibrant community, leveraging extensive departmental resources to explore fundamental geological questions. Key Responsibilities:
Sustain an internationally recognized research program
Supervise and mentor graduate and postdoctoral scholars




Deliver courses in your specialization and broader EOAS curriculum
Enhance the infrastructure and technical capabilities of PCIGR
Participate in departmental and community service activities Requirements:
PhD in Earth Sciences by appointment time
Research focus on igneous or metamorphic processes
Solid evidence of U-Pb geochronology expertise
Proven research productivity with peer-reviewed publications
A commitment to fostering equity and inclusion Lead groundbreaking research in geochronology and nurture the next generation of scientists at UBC.
