Embark on a transformative journey as a Landscape Technologist Apprentice with UBC, where horticulture meets education. Working under qualified Landscape Technologists at UBC's Municipal Services, you'll be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the Point Grey Campus.
You'll learn hands-on skills like landscape design, tree pruning, and equipment operation, while also gaining valuable supervisory experience. This position fosters teamwork and client interaction, enhancing your career in horticulture. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine horticultural maintenance and management
Oversee and train labourers in specialized tasks
Perform assessments of landscape conditions
Operate various power tools and equipment
Maintain detailed records of plant health and site conditions Requirements:
Class 5 BC Driver's License required
BC Pesticide Applicator's Certificate upon completion
Respect for diverse perspectives in the workplace
