As a Carpenter, you will contribute to the Halifax Regional Centre for Education by performing essential maintenance and renovations across multiple buildings. With your strong skills in carpentry and troubleshooting, you will uphold the principles of valuable energy management while working under the guidance of maintenance supervisors.
This position is critical for ensuring protected and productive education spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all carpentry-related tasks for building upgrades
Contribute to preventive maintenance of infrastructure
Utilize troubleshooting skills for effective building repairs
Report to the Regional Manager during maintenance shifts
Advocate for responsible energy management practices
Requirements:
High School Diploma or academic equivalent
Valid Carpenter certification recognized in Nova Scotia
A minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience
At least 2 years in building maintenance preferred
Valid Nova Scotia driver's license
